Create an image from a cloud host

To create an image from a cloud host, you must take a snapshot of the cloud host, and then convert the snapshot to an image. A cloud administrator can convert a snapshot to a public or private image. An organization administrator can convert a snapshot only to a private image.

To create an image from a cloud host:

1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Compute & Storage > Cloud Hosts.

3. Click the  icon for a cloud host.

4. Specify a name and description, and then click OK.

5. From the left navigation pane, select Snapshots.

6. Select a snapshot, and then click Convert to Image.

7. Select Public or Private, and then click OK.

The snapshot will be deleted after being converted to an image.
