Manage cloud host flavors

Resource flavors define resources that can be used by cloud hosts. You can create S-flavors, such as the number of CPU cores, storage type, memory size, and system disk size, and combine the S-flavors to create M-flavors for users to select at host creation or application.

By default, the storage type is normal and the system randomly assigns storage pools.

 

When creating an M-flavor, you can select any for an S-flavor type, which indicates all available S-flavors of the type, but you cannot select any for all S-flavor types.

 

Create an S-flavor

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Flavors > Resource Flavors.

  1. Select Cloud Host from the Service Type list.

  1. On the S-Flavors tab, click Create.

  1. Create CPU, memory, system disk, and storage type flavors as needed.

  1. Click OK.

Create an M-flavor

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Flavors > Resource Flavors.

  1. Select Cloud Host from the Service Type list.

  1. Click the M-Flavor tab and then click Create.

  1. Set the flavors of CPU cores, memory, system disk, and storage type as needed.

  1. Click Create.

Filter cloud host flavors

You can filter S-flavors by flavor type, discrete value, minimum value, maximum value, or step value, and filter M-flavors by flavor content.

To filter cloud host flavors:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Flavors > Resource Flavors.

  1. Select Cloud Host from the Service Type list.

  1. On the S-Flavor or M-Flavor tab, select a filtering criterion type, and enter the keyword in the search box.

  1. Click the search icon .

Delete cloud host flavors

Deleting an S-flavor also deletes M-flavors that contain the S-flavor. Deleting an M-flavor does not affect involved S-flavors.

To delete cloud host flavors:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Flavors > Resource Flavors.

  1. Select Cloud Host from the Service Type list.

  1. On the S-Flavor or M-Flavor tab, perform either of the following tasks:
