Create a key pair

Key authentication is available only for Linux cloud hosts. For more information about key authentication, see "Key authentication."

 

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute & Storage > Key Pairs.

  1. Click Create.

  1. Enter the key pair name and select a creation method. If you use an existing public key, you also need to specify the public key information.

  1. Configure key pair parameters as needed.

  1. Click Create.

Name

Enter the name of the key pair. You can specify a key pair by its name when creating a cloud host.

Create key pair

Create a key pair for the user.

If you select this method, the system generates a new key pair after you click the Create button. Then, click Download on the Download Key Pair window to download the private key.

Use Existing Public Key

Use an existing key pair. If you select this method, you must select the key encryption method for an existing public key and upload the public key.
