You can prevent the system from reporting or displaying the specified types of alarms. Alarms that were generated before you specify the alarm types will still be displayed in the alarm list.
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Resources, and then select Monitoring and Alarms > Alarms > Ignored Alarms from the navigation pane.
Click Filter.
Configure the filter criteria as described in "Parameters."
Click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Resources, and then select Monitoring and Alarms > Alarms > Ignored Alarms from the navigation pane.
Click Add.
Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click Finish.
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Resources, and then select Monitoring and Alarms > Alarms > Ignored Alarms from the navigation pane.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Object Name: Name of the ignored object.
Object Type: Type of the ignored object. Options include Cluster, Host, VM, NIC, Host Disk, Shared Storage, Host Disk Partition, VM Disk, VM Disk Partition, VM Network, HBA Card, vSwitch, and Template Pool.
Parent Object Name: Parent object of the ignored object. For example, if the ignored object is a host disk or host disk partition, this field displays the name of the host where the disk or disk partition resides. If the ignored object is a VM disk or VM disk partition, this field displays the name of the VM where the disk or disk partition resides.
Parent Object Type: Type of the parent object. Clusters, hosts, and VMs do not have parent objects.
Metric: Name of the ignored alarm metric.
Alarm Type: Alarm type. Options include Host Resource Alarm, VM Resource Alarm, Cluster Resource Alarm, Failure Alarm, and Others.
State: State of the alarm threshold.
Configured At: Time when the ignored alarm was added.
