H5 video redirection

About H5 video redirection

H5 video redirection is configured through a global policy. HTML5 (short for H5) is the fifth version of HTML. H5 video redirection redirects online videos played in Chrome on a desktop to the endpoint for playing. Playing online videos on the endpoint locally has similar play effect as playing them on a desktop. This function does not require plug-ins and avoids the problems of not supporting, member login, and advertisement elimination caused by plug-ins.

Application scenarios

H5 video redirection is applicable to scenes where online videos are played on the cloud desktop. This function reduces the pressure on servers while proving high video quality.

Configuration workflow

  1. Enable H5 video redirection for predefined or user-added website addresses.

  1. On the cloud desktop, load the H5 video redirection extension program by using the developer mode of the Chrome browser, and enable H5 video redirection.
