Manage virtual switches

Edit a virtual switch

This task might cause VM network anomaly. When you perform this task, make sure you are fully aware of its impacts.

 

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name.

2. Click the vSwitches tab.

3. Click Edit for a virtual switch.

4. Edit the parameters as described in "Parameters," and then click OK.

Delete a virtual switch

Restrictions and guidelines

You cannot delete a virtual switch in use.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name.

2. Click the vSwitches tab.

3. Click Delete for a virtual switch.

4. Click OK.

Detach a host from a virtual switch

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name.

2. Click the vSwitches tab.

3. Select a virtual switch, and then click Delete for a host in the attached host list.

4. Click OK.
