The NTP server synchronizes the system time among all hosts and VMs on Space Console for the applications that require consistent system time. For example, the heartbeat packets sent for cluster HA must carry consistent time information, and log records must contain consistent time information to facilitate fault location.
To ensure correct operation of Space Console, do not modify the system time of the hosts after the NTP server is configured.
As a best practice, configure the host installed with Space Console as the primary NTP server.
In a stateful failover system, if the VIP is configured as the primary NTP server address, you do not need to configure the backup NTP server. ARM hosts do not support stateful failover.
From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization.
Click More, and then select NTP Server.
