About UIS on UniCloud hybrid clouds

UIS Manager enables local private clouds and UIS on UniCloud to form homogeneous hybrid clouds through the high-speed interconnect provided by SD-WAN for unified hybrid cloud management, cloud rainbow, and disaster recovery.

SD-WAN integrated with hybrid clouds

UIS Manager uses SD-WAN to set up fast, low-cost, high-quality interconnect between private data center clouds and mainstream public clouds. SD-WAN deploys vCE VMs on UIS Manager as gateways for private data center clouds and supports automating CE deployment on public clouds and interconnect setup. With secure data transmission channels and end-to-end encryption, SD-WAN prevents user data from being intercepted during transmission.

Application scenarios

Resource expension for new service systems

The hybrid cloud solution allows you to fast deploy and expand resources for short-term use with limited budgets. If your UIS private data center clouds do not have enough hardware resources to host new service systems, you can lease UniCloud servers to deploy the services on UIS on UniCloud clouds. With the UIS Manager enterprise edition, you can manage and maintain local and cloud resources centrally.

If your budgets are adequate, you can expand your local UIS Manager and migrate services from UIS on UniCloud clouds to your local private data center for better service management. The architecture shared by UIS on UniCloud and UIS Manager and the UIS cloud rainbow service enable VM service loads to migrate without service interruption between the public and private clouds. Migration of 100GB VM data takes two and a half hours when performed over a 100 Mbps broadband network, while using a 100 Mbps leased line can reduce the migration time to 15 minutes.

Diaster recovery for hybrid clouds

You can back up local cloud services to UIS on UniCloud clouds instead of setting up a disaster recovery site from scratch. The hybrid cloud solution offers on-demand resource delivery and elastic service scaling, which can greatly reduce your investments. The SRM service of UIS Manager supports non-proxied storage data replication and provides multiple disaster recovery scenarios such as scheduled recovery and reverse recovery. The hybrid cloud solution enables centralized management of private and local cloud sites on a single platform and automates VM data synchronization, which both reduces maintenance workloads and simplifies workflows.
