Overview

The following POS interface modules are available for the CR16000-M routers.

MIC-PSP4L-M

4-port OC-48c/STM-16c (2.5G) POS optical interface module

MIC-SP4L-M

4-port OC-3c/STM-1c (155M) POS/ATM or 1-port OC-12c/STM-4c (622M) POS/ATM optical interface module

MIC-TCP8L-M

8-port OC-3c/OC-12c (622M/155M) POS/GE optical interface module

 

Key features

PPP/HDLC encapsulation

The POS interfaces support two types of link encapsulation: PPP and HDLC, and support the configuration of scrambling, CRC-32 or CRC-16, frame format, and path trace bytes. With PPP encapsulation, the POS interfaces support the PAP and CHAP authentication modes.

Supporting PPP or HDLC encapsulation, the POS interfaces are well compatible with devices of other mainstream manufacturers.

Super interface module

As a super interface module, the MIC-TCP8L-M interface module supports flexible configuration of POS and GE interfaces.

Multi-rate POS interfaces

CR16000-M routers provide multi-rate POS interfaces to support OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4, and OC-48/STM-16 to meet various networking requirements.

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT:
