NOTE: · If Type A switching fabric modules are used, use the four types together and install each into its specified slot. Each Type A switching fabric module has a mark specifying the slot for installation. For example, the CSFC-04-1 has the mark Notes:Please insert to Slot 6. · If you use Type B, Type D, Type E, Type T, or Type TG switching fabric modules for the router, a minimum of two are required. You must install one in the lowest numbered slot. Then the two highest numbered slots are preferred. · Do not install switching fabric modules of different types on the same router. · For switching fabric module and service module compatibility matrix, see H3C CR16000-F Routers Installation Guide. |
Key features
Module variety
Various types of switching fabric modules provide users with different switching capabilities.
Super-large switching capacity
An SR8800-X router supports a maximum of five independent switching fabric modules according to users' bandwidth. Each slot provides a uni-directional bandwidth of level T.
Load sharing, redundancy and seamless extension
The SR8800-X routers support multi-plane switching architecture, and load sharing and redundancy among the planes, which extends port rates and port numbers seamlessly.
Hot swapping
The switching fabric modules are hot swappable. You can install or remove the switching fabric modules as needed. If the remaining switching capacity is sufficient, removing a switching fabric module does not affect service forwarding on service modules.

LEDs
The CSFC-16E, CSFC-16EA, CSFC-08E1, CSFC-08E1A, Type T, and Type T-G switching fabric modules each use a status LED RUN to indicate their operating status. For the status LED description of these switching fabric modules, see Table 2.
The other switching fabric modules each use a pair of LEDs RUN and ALM to indicate their operating status. For the status LED description of these switching fabric modules, see Table 3.
