IMPORTANT:

License-based features and attributes of licenses might change with software version over time. This document contains information about only licenses for software versions shipped with the firewalls and some of the information might change over time. To obtain the most up-to-date information about licenses or information about licenses for software versions not listed in this document, contact your H3C sales representative or contact H3C Support.

IMPORTANT:

·     The F100 firewall series supports only trial licenses and formal licenses. This document covers only formal licenses.

·     The following models from the F100 firewall series do not support the WAF Signature Update Service License and LB License: F100-C-A1, F100-C-A2, F100-A-G5, F100-C-G5, F100-M-G5, F100-S-G5, F100-C-EI, F100-C-G2, F100-M-G2, F100-S-G2, F100-C50-WiNet, F100-C60-WiNet, F100-C80-WiNet, F100-C-A3, F100-C-A5, F100-C-A6, F100-C-XI, F100-C-HI, F100-S-HI, F100-S-XI, F100-C-A3-W, F100-C-A5-W, F100-C-A6-WL, F100-C-G3, F100-S-G3, F100-M-G3, F100-S80-WiNet, and F100-A81-WiNet.

·     A license for the Web cache feature is available only in RXX60P20 and later.

NOTE:

·     Trial (temporary) license—You can contact your H3C sales representative or contact H3C Support to obtain trial licenses to verify the functionality of premium features so you can make an educated purchase decision. A trial license is time limited and cannot be uninstalled or transferred. When a trial license expires, the license-based feature becomes unavailable. To continue to use the feature, you must purchase and install a formal license for it.

·     Formal license—To gain most from a license-based feature, purchase and install a formal license for it. For information about registering, installing, and managing a license, see H3C Comware 7 Security Products Licensing Guide. You can install or transfer a formal license. When a formal license expires, the license-based feature becomes unavailable. To continue to use the feature, you must purchase and install a new formal license for it.

You can install formal and trial licenses separately for different features. However, if a formal license has been installed for a feature, you cannot install a trail license for the feature again. If the formal license for the feature expires or is uninstalled, you can compress the license storage area, and then register and install the trial license.

·     Number of licenses per failover deployment—For an IRF or RBM deployment with high availability, you must install the same set of licenses on each node in the deployment to ensure service continuity after an active/standby switchover. If you fail to do so, an error will occur on the active/standby switchover.
