Clients access the block storage resources in the storage cluster through iSCSI.
iSCSI HA management allows you to set an HA VIP for the storage front-end network that provides storage service for the storage cluster to ensure service continuity. The clients can discover the block devices in the storage cluster by accessing the iSCSI HA VIP, without being affected by storage node failure.
Specify the primary and backup nodes, which form an iSCSI HA group, for iSCSI access when you add an iSCSI HA VIP. To avoid service interruption, make sure the routing information for all nodes in the iSCSI HA group is the same.
Before deleting an iSCSI HA VIP, disconnect the clients that use the VIP.
Editing an iSCSI HA group will cause the HA IP address of iSCSI block storage to be unavailable. Clients cannot access the block storage resources of the cluster at the HA IP address. Before editing an iSCSI HA group, perform the following tasks:
Stop the services provided by the iSCSI HA group.
To prevent service interruption, configure routing to make sure the nodes in the same iSCSI HA group can reach one another at Layer 3.
Verify that the iSCSI HA group is no longer needed.
Disabling an iSCSI HA group will disable the client group from accessing the storage volumes and cause service interruption. Before disabling an iSCSI HA group, perform the following tasks:
Stop the services provided by the iSCSI HA group.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage.
Select Block Device > Mapping Management from the navigation pane.
Click the iSCSI HA tab.
Select a cluster from the Cluster list in the upper right corner of the page if multiple clusters exist in the system.
Click Add.
Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

HA VIP: Enter the IP address for users to access the block devices in the storage cluster through iSCSI. It must belong to the storage front-end network.
HA Group ID: Enter the ID of the iSCSI HA group. This ID will be issued to all nodes the group. Only nodes with the same HA group ID can perform HA VIP switchover.
Primary Node IP: Select the storage front-end network IP for access through iSCSI.
