Manage disaster recovery storage nodes

ARM hosts do not support disaster recovery storage node management.

A disaster recovery storage node distributes and processes data during service protection and data transmission and can provide more storage space and capabilities. Only a host that operates as a disaster recovery storage node can be used as the destination host for a recovered VM.

Restrictions and guidelines

You cannot remove the storage node role for a host in a protection group.

Configure a host as a storage node

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts. If the system has multiple clusters, select a cluster from the left navigation pane.

  1. Enter the summary page of the host. Click More Actions, and then select Set as Storage Node.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
