An object gateway allows users to access object storage resources.
You can select a node pool and a disk pool only when you create the first object gateway.
Deleting the last object gateway in a cluster also deletes all data in the object storage system, and the deleted data cannot be recovered.
Stopping an object gateway will interrupt services on clients connected to it, and its status will change to abnormal.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, to create the first object gateway:
Click Create.
Select a node pool and a disk pool.
Configure a redundancy policy.
Click OK.
To create a second object gateway:
Select a host, and enables or disables storage encryption.
Click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, click Edit for an object gateway.
In the dialog that opens, enable or disable storage encryption.
Click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, click Delete for an object gateway.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, select an object gateway, click More, and then select Start.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Stopping an object gateway will interrupt services on clients connected to it, and its status will change to abnormal.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, select an object gateway, click More, and then select Stop.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) service allows users to manage access permissions. You can control user access to storage resources securely. After you enable IAM authentication, only the admin users that pass the authentication can access storage resources.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, click Configure IAM Authentication.
Enable IAM authentication in the dialog box that opens, and then configure the parameters as needed.
Click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Objects from the navigation pane.
On the Object Gateways tab, click Enable Multisite Deployment.
Configure the parameters as required.
Click OK.
Node Pool: Select a node pool. The system has a default node pool.
Disk Pool: Select a disk pool with a service type of object storage or object storage-data pool.
Redundancy Policy: Configure the redundancy policy: set the number of replicas and enable erasure coding. For more information, see "Replication and erasure coding."
Replicas: Specify the number of replicas. The more replicas, the more secure but the more storage space needed.
Select Host: Select a host.
Protocol Type: Select HTTP or HTTPS. By default, HTTP is selected.
Storage Encryption: Enable or disable storage encryption.
Key Type: Select a key type if storage encryption is enabled. Options include Local Key and Third Party Key.
Configure the following parameters if you select Third Party Key:
KeyStone Address: Enter the KeyStone service address.
Project: Enter the project name.
Domain: Enter the domain name.
Username: Enter the username.
Password: Enter the password.
API Version: In the current software version, only v3 is supported.
Barbican URL: For description about Barbican configuration, see KeyStone parameters.
Status: Operating status of the object gateway. Options include Normal, Abnormal, and Offline. An object gateway enters the abnormal state when it can be detected but cannot be accessed. An object gateway enters the offline state when it is shut down or the management network is unreachable.
IAM Authentication: Select whether to enable IAM authentication. After you enable this feature, only the admin users that pass the authentication can access storage resources.
IAM URL: Enter an IAM URL. Enter the URL of an IAM authentication center. The IAM authentication center contains IAM user information and authenticates access users. The absolute path of an IAM authentication center consists of the URL and the path of that IAM authentication center.
IAM Path: Enter the path of an IAM authentication center.
Admin Access Key: Enter the access key of an IAM user for IAM authentication. The IAM authentication center controls user access to storage resources by authenticating the access keys and the secret access keys of users.
Admin Secret Key: Enter the secret access key of an IAM user. The secret access key is used together with the access key for IAM user authentication.
Site Name: Enter the site name.
