Configure LDAP domain settings

Restrictions and guidelines

After joining an LDAP domain, users and user groups created on the LDAP server have access to the NFS shares without local user authentication.

Join an LDAP domain

1. On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.

2. Click the LDAP Domain Settings tab.

3. Enter the LDAP server address, and then click Get Base DN List to obtain the base DN list.

4. Select a base DN from the Base DN list (the first entry in the base DN list is selected by default).

5. Enter the domain username and password bound with the DN.

6. Click Join Domain.

7. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Quit an LDAP domain

1. On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.

2. Click the LDAP Domain Settings tab.

3. Click Exit Domain.

Parameters

• LDAP Address: Specify an IP address for the LDAP server.

• Base DN: Select a base DN.

• Domain Username: Enter the domain username bound with the DN.

• Password: Enter the password bound with the DN.
