Manage external clusters

External cluster management enables you to incorporate VMware host clusters into UIS. Then, you can migrate VMware VMs to UIS.

After you incorporate the host clusters in VMware vCenter, you can create migration tasks as described in "Manage migration tasks" to migrate the VMware VMs to UIS.

On the external cluster management page, you can perform the following tasks:

Restrictions and guidelines

Add an external cluster

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select External Clusters from the left navigation pane.

  1. Click Add.

  1. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

  1. Click OK.

Edit an external cluster

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select External Clusters from the left navigation pane.

  1. Click the  icon in the Actions column for an external cluster.

  1. Edit the parameters as described in "Parameters."

  1. Click OK.

View detailed information about an external cluster

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select External Clusters from the left navigation pane.

  1. Click the  icon in the Actions column for an external cluster.

Delete an external cluster

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select External Clusters from the left navigation pane.

  1. Click the  icon in the Actions column for an external cluster.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
