Perform this task to configure the SMTP server. SMTP provides mail services based on FTP and is mainly used to transfer system mails and notifications.
You must first configure the mail server before you can enable the alarm email notification and the administrator email authentication feature.
From the navigation pane, select System > Advanced Settings > Mail Server.
Configure mail server parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click Email Test to test whether the mail server is reachable.
Click Save after the email test succeeds.
Server Address: Enter the IP address of the SMTP server.
Port Number: Specify the TCP port number of the SMTP server.
Authentication: Enable or disable identity authentication. If you select enable authentication, configure the following parameters:
Username: Enter the username for accessing the SMTP server.
Password: Enter the password for the user to access the SMTP server.
Sender Address: Enter the email address of the sender.
