System administrators and organization administrators can create file shares directly. To create a file share, users must send an application. The system will create the file share automatically after the application is approved.
Click Create.

Select an organization. Only system administrators can select a random user as the owner of the file share. You can use this parameter to select the target user quickly. |

Owner |
Select an owner. This parameter is available only for system administrators and organization administrators. A system administrator can select a random user as the owner of the file share. An organization administrator can select a random user in the same organization (users in suborganizations are not included). |

Enter a file share name. |
Protocol |
Select a file sharing protocol. Options include NFS and CIFS. For Linux hosts, select NFS. For Windows hosts, select CIFS. |
Size (GB) |
Specify the size of the file share. You can select only the capacity options defined in the existing file share flavors. |
Storage Pool |
Specify a storage pool. To select a storage pool, click Select and then select target pools in the window that opens. |
Permission Type |
Specify the permission type. For NFS, this field is fixed to ip and you can assign permissions only to an IP address or network segment. For CIFS, this field is fixed to user and you can assign permissions only to users on UniStor or ONEStor. |
Permission Level |
Specify the permission level.

Channel Type |
This field is available only for NFS. Select the channel type. To specify an IP address as the access tunnel, select IP. To specify a network segment as the access tunnel, select Network Address. |
Access Channel |
For NFS, specify the permitted IP address or network segment for file share access. CIDR is supported. Make sure the specified network address is reachable to the storage network used by file sharing. Do not enter an IP address or network segment on 10.10.10.10 to 10.10.10.30. For CIFS, click Select and then select the permitted users for file share access. The window that opens displays users created on UniStor or ONEStor. |
