Assign an elastic IP address to a load balancer

For a load balancer to communicate with the public network, create an elastic IP address and assign it to the load balancer.

To assign an elastic IP address to a load balancer:

1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Load Balancers from the Network menu.

2. Click Allocate Elastic IP in the Actions column for a load balancer.

3. In the dialog box that opens, select an elastic IP address and then click Allocate.
