Host flavors define resources that can be used by cloud hosts. You can create S-flavors, such as CPU cores, storage type, memory size, and system disk size, and use the S-flavors to create M-flavors for users to select at host creation or application.
Table-1 Host flavor description
S-flavor |
M-flavor |
Description |
CPU |

N/A |
Memory |

System disk |

Storage type |
By default, the storage type is normal and the system randomly assigns storage pools. |
|
GPU/vGPU type |
To create GPU-type or vGPU-type cloud hosts, you must create the corresponding host flavor. Make sure the specified vGPU or GPU type is the same as the setting on the CAS virtualization platform. |
|
GPU/vGPU quantity |
When creating an M-flavor, you can select any for an S-flavor type, which indicates all available S-flavors of the type, but cannot select any for all S-flavor types. |
On the top navigation bar, click Network, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.
From the left navigation pane, select Advanced Settings.
Select Cloud Host Flavors.
Select the cloud host type. Options include common cloud host, VGPU cloud host, and GPU cloud host.
On the S-Flavors tab, click Create. Then, create CPU, memory, system disk, storage type, VGPU, and GPU flavors as needed. VGPU flavor is applicable to VGPU cloud hosts and GPU flavor is applicable to GPU cloud hosts.
Click OK.
On the top navigation bar, click Network, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.
From the left navigation pane, select Advanced Settings.
Select Cloud Host Flavors.
Click the M-Flavor tab and then click Create.
Specify S-flavors as needed.
Click OK.
You can filter S-flavors by flavor type, discrete value, min value, max value, or step value, and filter M-flavors by flavor content. Fuzzy matching is not supported.
To filter host flavors:
On the top navigation bar, click Network, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.
From the left navigation pane, select Advanced Settings.
Select Cloud Host Flavors.
On the S-Flavor or M-Flavor tab, select a filtering criterion type, and enter the keyword in the search box.
Deleting an S-flavor also deletes M-flavors using the S-flavor. Deleting an M-flavor does not affect involved S-flavors.
To delete host flavors:
On the top navigation bar, click Network, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.
From the left navigation pane, select Advanced Settings.
Select Cloud Host Flavors.
On the S-Flavor or M-Flavor tab, perform either of the following tasks:
To delete a single flavor, click Delete for the flavor.
To delete several flavors, select the target flavors, and then click Delete.
