A lifecycle policy enables the system to delete files and memory fragments when the capacity overwrite threshold or time overwrite threshold is reached.
When both a WORM policy and a lifecycle policy are enabled, data generated in the WORM retention period will not be automatically deleted.
You cannot enable a lifecycle policy for a bucket when the bucket contains data.
You can disable a lifecycle policy for a bucket, or edit the capacity overwrite threshold or time overwrite threshold when the bucket contains data.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Buckets from the navigation pane.
Select a bucket, click More, and then select Lifecycle Policy.
To enable a lifecycle policy, select On, select Overwrite After Capacity Reaches or Overwrite After Specific Period, and then click OK.
To disable a lifecycle policy, select Off, and then click OK.
Overwrite After Capacity Reaches: Specify a capacity overwrite threshold. When the capacity overwrite threshold is reached, data will be deleted.
