IPv6 trial network for Tsinghua University
The IPv6-based trial network in Tsinghua University is the first trial IPv6 deployment using MSR. In this deployment, the trial network is connected with the campus network (live IPv4 network) of Tsinghua University and CERNET2 network (live IPv6 network), to try out the trial application on a live network. The pilot office was successfully put into service, operating steadily for a long time. The lab experts and H3C engineers tested all the IPv6 features and performances on the network, and everything was OK.
IPv6 test for SGCC (State Grid Corporation of China)
To deliver IPV6 services later over the nationwide electric power system, SGCC initially planned to test IPV6 features and applications on a trial network in preparation for future large-scale IPV6 deployment. Before building the trial network, SGCC organized a model selection test on IPv6 devices. Finally, only H3C and Juniper were selected to take the test.
On the morning of August 11, 2006, in just two hours, our MSR passed all the test items as required by SGCC in the IPv6 test, including the most important tests on IPv6 applications: streaming, dynamic DNS and NAT-PT performance.
Demo home network test for CNGI
China’s infrastructure for next generation Internet, CNGI or China Next Generation Internet is jointly built by China Telecom, China Unicom, China Netcom/Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Mobile and China Railcom. The CNGI project involves lots of items. “Digital home-oriented network processor chip and home gateway” (sub-item CNGI-04-11-1D) and “demo applications of home network” (sub-item CNGI-04-11-2A) at the access layer are State-sponsored tests for the development of IPv6 services. Luckily enough, our MSR, as a world-leading IPv6 access router, has just been singled out for these two tests. The tests will be held very soon. We believe our MSR will shine again for its superior performance.
