1 Fundamental Configuration

Gives the commands involved in basic system configuration, system maintenance and management, auto detect configuration, HWPing configuration, SNMP configuration, RMON configuration, BIMS configuration, terminal service configuration, Modem configuration and interface configuration. The system maintenance and management commands include those for log and debugging information center, file system and file operation, FTP/TFTP operation, user interface configuration, user management system and NTP configuration.

2 User Access

Involves the commands for PPP configuration, PPPoE server configuration, PPPoE client configuration and VLAN configuration.      

 

3 Network Layer Protocol

Elaborates on introduction to IP address and the commands for IP address configuration, IP application configuration, IP performance configuration and IP unicast policy routing configuration, as well as the configuration commands when the security gateway/firewall serves as DHCP server, DHCP client, DHCP relay, BOOTP configuration, UDP Helper configuration.

4 Routing Protocol

Includes the configuration commands for static routes, RIP, OSPF, BGP, MBGP, and routing policy.

5 MPLS

Includes basic configuration commands and traffic engineering configuration commands.

6 VPN

Includes the commands for L2TP and GRE configuration, dynamic VPN configuration, IPsec and IKE configuration.

7 Security

Introduces the commands for AAA and RADIUS configuration, ACL configuration, packet filtering firewall configuration, ASPF configuration, NAT configuration, SSL and PKI configuration, transparent firewall configuration, hybrid mode configuration, object-oriented management, Web and E-mail filtering, attack prevention configuration, IDS cooperation configuration, packet statistics configuration, and log maintenance.

8 Reliability

Elaborates on the commands for VRRP configuration and dual-system hot backup configuration.

9 QoS

Presents the configuration commands for traffic classification, traffic policing and traffic shaping, congestion management and congestion avoidance. The congestion management configuration commands include those for such queuing mechanisms as FIFO, PQ, CQ, WFQ, CBQ and RTPQ.
