Scenario 1: Application in Campus Networks

The H3C S9500 Series can be deployed in the core and distribution of campus networks to provide high performance, high security, and manageability. The S9500 Series offers high capacity, wire-speed switching capability, which can serve as the core switch of the entire campus network, with their wire-speed 10G/1G ports connecting to the distribution layer devices. The integrated firewall module enables the switch to apply different security strategy according to different service needs. The network traffic analysis function, together with the XLog system, can present users with a clear picture of the network service traffic. The series can also block or control BT traffic to avoid bandwidth abuse by P2P service.

Scenario 2: Application in MANs

The H3C S9500 Series is the first to offer 10G and 2.5G RPR interfaces that accord with the 802.17 standard, making it ideal for deployment in large and medium-sized MANs. The S9500 Series can provide service switchover in 50ms, which brings no impact to any ongoing audio service. This fully meets the requirements for carrier-class network reliability. The RPR technology of the S9500 series realizes the wish for building a high performance, high reliability MAN.

Scenario 3: Application in Data Centers

The H3C S9500 series can provide a data center solution with high performance, high security and high reliability. With a switching capacity of up to 1.44T and a forwarding capability of up to 857Mpps, the S9500 can provide wire-speed forwarding for 576 gigabit or 48 10G Ethernet interfaces, meeting the need for high performance in data centers. The series also provides all-round security, which is realized through the inherent security design and additional security modules, thus meeting the need for high security in data centers. With the support of uninterrupted forwarding, hot swap and VRRP, the S9500 Series also meets the need for high reliability in data centers. Depending on its remarkable performance, all-round security and carrier-class reliability, the H3C S9500 provides a reliable, fundamental network platform for data center construction.
