Features

Powerful network security functions

The H3C MSR 900 is integrated with powerful network security functions to play a major role in network defense policies. In addition to the common access control and status-based firewall functions, the H3C MSR 900 also provides several other built-in security features including anti-attack, security log functions, and P2P application control functions such as BT/QQ. The following enhanced security features and functions are supported:

u  Various defense technologies for attacks by Land, Smurf, Fraggle, WinNuke, Ping of Death, Tear Drop, IP spoofing, SYN flood, IGMP flood, UDP flood, and ARP spoofing attacks, thus avoiding attacks to most networks

u  Security control for P2P applications such as BT/QQ, which is implemented on the basis of an application code characteristics database, thus  ensuring intelligent flexibility and real-time effectiveness

u  Defenses against ARP attacks in an all-round approach, including static ARP, gratuitous ARP, authorized ARP, ARP packet acknowledgement and ARP flooding attacks

u  Various security logs including real-time attack logs, address binding logs, traffic alarm logs and session logs for network administrators to monitor in real time the running and security status of networks

u  Serving as the associated security component in the Endpoint Admission Defense (EAD) solution by H3C to completely implement the EAD function together with other components

Diversified VPN services

Integrated with powerful VPN services and functions, the H3C MSR 900 provides a large variety of VPN services to meet companies application requirements for . The following types of VPN services are supported:

u  L2T

u  GRE

u  IPSec VPN

u  SSL VPN

u  Dynamic VPN (DVPN)

Routing and switching integrated data services

The H3C MSR 900 provides fixed Ethernet switching interfaces that provide diversified Layer 2 switching functions, such as STP, 802.1Xand VLAN isolation. This largely accommodates the networking requirements of integrated data switching and forwarding by companies and meets the functional requirements of security access and authentication by users.

WLAN wireless access functions

As the edge access device of SMBs and corporate branch offices, the H3C MSR 900 also supports WLAN wireless access functions, 802.11b/g standard communications, and several other functional features, fully satisfying the requirements of WLAN wireless access and greatly improving the comprehensive access capability of the router.

Wireless 3G communication functions

The H3C MSR 900 provides wireless 3G communication through CDMA2000, WCDMA, and TD-SCDMA technologies to meet the application requirements by users on the active and backup upstream links over 3G wireless networks. It also provides a variety of other services and functions.

On the H3C MSR 900, the 3G wireless communication interface is actually encapsulated as a standard IP interface that is not different from other physical interfaces including Ethernet, serial, or E1 interfaces. To be more specific, the differences of physical interfaces are shielded. In this manner, the 3G communication interface on the device supports all service and functional features above the IP layer, including interface backup, traffic statistics and network attack defenses, thereby maximizing the application potential and value of the interface.

The 3G communication interface works in two modes: permanent online and dial on demand. This allows users to flexibly choose working modes based on the accounting methods and use 3G wireless link communication resources in the most appropriate manner.

Diversified maintenance and management functions

The H3C MSR 900 supports a variety of maintenance and management functions through command lines, web, SNMP, and TR069. This allows you to configure and maintain the router by means of local, remote or integrated maintenance. The complete alarming, testing, diagnosis, tracking and log functions are provided to facilitate routine maintenance and lower costs.

The web configuration and management through user-friendly interactive interfaces is simple, compact, and convenient. This greatly enhances the availability of the device. You can easily configure and maintain the device by simply following the installation guide and visual graphic pages. This makes the operation of complex network devices an easy task.

Strict international authentications

Sticking to the H3C design concepts of advanced green environmental protection in muting and low consumption, the H3C MSR 900 complies with EMC, safety and compliance, and environmental protection standards such as CE and FCC security entry standards.
