The H3C AR 18-2x Series Ethernet Routers are Ethernet broadband SOHO routers. With plentiful fast Ethernet interfaces, robust packet processing capability, abundant services and a streamline outlook, H3C AR 18-2x Series Routers feature high cost-effective performance and can be applied in SOHO solutions and SME as a branch router. This series include AR 18-21/22/22S-8/22-24/18-21A models.

Currently, H3C AR 18-2x Ethernet Routers consist of three types in terms of LAN interface density:

l  AR 18-21/18-22/18-21A (four LAN interfaces)

l  AR 18-22S-8(eight LAN interfaces) features hardware encryption with high density LAN interfaces.

l  AR 18-22-24 (twenty-four LAN interfaces) has the densest LAN interfaces.

H3C AR 18-2x Series are Ethernet access routers, which provide 10/100BASE-Tx interface in the uplink direction and 10/100BASE-T Ethernet interface in the downlink direction. Data exchange between these ports is a layer 2 switching and port isolation can be implemented. In addition, the built-in hardware encryption chip of AR 18-22S-8 greatly enhances the encryption performance.
