Product Overview

The Quidway® S5000 Series intelligent switches are L2 wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet switching products providing high capacity and various features. With the high performance ASIC and flexible modular structure, they provide L2~L7 intelligent flow classification and ACL policies. They implement complete service control and user management, so they are suitable for the access layer switches in enterprise networks and MANs. The Quidway® S5000 switches are ideal for Gigabit L2 distribution and the Gigabit access application with high QoS requirement.

The Quidway® S5000 Series Gigabit switches comprise S5012G, S5012T, and S5024G.

The Quidway® S5012G Ethernet switch is a box-type equipment of 1U high. It can be installed in the 19” rack and can run independently. The system provides 12 10/100/1000BASE-T auto-sensing Ethernet ports (RJ-45 connectors) and 4 Combo Gigabit Interface Converters(GBICs).

The Quidway® S5012T Ethernet switch is a box-type equipment of 1U high. It can be installed in the 19” rack and can run independently. The system provides 10 GBIC ports, 2 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports and 2 Combo 10/100/1000BASE-T ports.

The Quidway® S5024G Ethernet switch is a box-type equipment of 1U high. It can be installed in the 19” rack and can run independently. The system provides 20 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports (RJ-45 connectors) and 4 GBIC ports.

Note: Combo indicates that the ports from a combination out of which only one can be used. The last 4 electrical interfaces of S5012G form a combination with 4 GBIC ports, while the last 2 GBIC ports of S5012T form a combination with the first 2 electrical interfaces.
