The H3C Neocean IX3000 series is a family of new medium- and high-end network storage systems that address a variety of data applications with high-demand processing and diverse service requirements. The devices are Internet Protocol (IP) storage systems that deliver high performance, high quality and high intelligence.

The IX3000 series consists of two models, the IX3040 and IX3080. The IX3040 provides eight front-end gigabit network interfaces and supports 224 disks. It can meet the storage requirements of email/instant messaging, database, Web services and other applications. The IX3080 provides 16 front-end gigabit network interfaces and supports 336 disks. It can address the storage requirements of high-performance applications, such as online transaction processing (OLTP) or email that requires frequent IO operations.
