Huawei-3Com recently announced its launch of new engine Salience III for Quidway S6500 series switches. Quidway® S6500 series super engine Salience III is a complete new generation engine for S6500 series switches. It delivers much high switch capacity with XGBUS technology. It also provide abundant optional LPU boards including full wire-rate GE LPU boards, PoE LPU boards and 10GE LPU boards. Engine Salience III is compliant with all the traditional LPU boards, and can be applied in all the products including S6503 (4 slots), S6506 (7 slots), and S6506R (8 slots).
Quidway® S6500 series switches are Layer three switches with features of high performance, high port density and high flexibility, applicable to the access, convergence and core layers.
