H3C Helps Fujian Medical University Affiliated Hospital Build Information System

Hangzhou China, 3 September 2008 — H3C Technologies, one of the world’s leading IP technology and solution providers, today announced to deploy 10G online storage platform and near-line CDP solution for Fujian Medical University Affiliated Hospital, which greatly improves the storage performance for the hospital’s information system (HIS).

HIS is a key tool to build a digital hospital nowadays. The previous HIS of the hospital adopted DAS storage system, which is quite limited in terms of performance and application, and can’t meet the “always on” requirement of various HIS applications.

Fujian Medical University Affiliated Hospital realizes this problem, and resorts to H3C’s 10G storage solution. H3C’s IX3620 and IX3080 are installed to build a complete 10G online storage platform and near-line CDP system. The storage performance matches well with the computing and networking performance, hence enhancing the data processing capability. Meanwhile, the IP-based duplication and CDP solution effectively backs up the data and protects data from loss due to hardware or software problem.
