May 22, 2008---H3C Technologies, the world’s leading Internet architecture solution innovator, today announced that it will take part in Interop Tokyo 2008, a prime IT technology exhibition, running from June 11 to 13. H3C marks its fifth consecutive year of attendance at the annual event with initiatives to continuously introduce high quality, customized and cost-efficient IP networking products and solutions to the Japanese market.
H3C’s 180-square-meter booth is at K20, Hall 1 in Makuhari Messe of Chiba.
“We have been in the market for five years, and H3C’s products have gained recognition and credit from our local customers and partners,” said James Yang, Deputy Chief Representative of H3C Japan K.K. “As a leading vendor of networking device internationally, H3C pays a lot of attention and effort to local market customization in order to better meet specific requirements in terms of product quality, product features. Japan is regarded as one of the most important international markets for H3C; we have been working with local strategic partners for a long time and have accumulated abundant experience on how to serve the market better. Interop Tokyo 2008 will be a good chance for us to leverage our advantage and strength in product and service to further convince customers and partners of H3C’s commitment to the Japanese market, and to strengthen the business relationship between H3C and its partners.”
H3C is a leading networking vendor offering full series of IP products and solutions, including routers and LAN switches, network security, IP storage, IP surveillance, Wireless LAN and network management software. H3C became China’s No.1 vendor in the LAN switch and enterprise router markets by shipments in Q4 2007, while jointly with H3C’s parent company, 3Com, it holds the No.2 position globally for these two product markets. Through years of innovation, H3C has filed more than 1,200 patents since its founding in 2003 with more than 1,000 of these being original invention patents. Together with more than 4,000 licenses and patents from its founding companies, H3C is rapidly increasing its proprietary patents making it one of the top innovators in IP technology.
Recently, H3C is taking the lead as a vendor of green or “eco” designs for all its products lines. Using all-round environmentally-friendly operations, H3C practices green design in all its processes for R&D, manufacturing, marketing and sales, and service and support, and throughout the entire life span of a product. “H3C’s green designs have seen fruitful progress in clean manufacturing and lower power consuming products; for example, some of our bestselling models, such as the S3100 and S5100 LAN switches can save power consumption by up to 60 percent. And the S3100’s fan-free, quiet design offers an excellent power-for-performance ratio and is specially designed to suit Japanese market demands,” added Yang.
Besides customized products, H3C is also looking to streamline cooperation with local system integrators, to bring better collaborative solutions to local enterprise customers. H3C has set up partnerships with Cannon Solution and Soliton Systems to provide applications and solutions based on the H3C architecture for the Japanese market. “Customers can leverage both H3C and its partners’ strengths in a one-stop-buying solution that caters to their special business needs, while being supported by excellent back-up and service,” said Yang. “H3C is expanding its channel partnerships in Japan to deliver quality products and services. As IP technology continues to be a fast growing trend, H3C will work together with partners and customers to deliver IP-based solutions that facilitate value-generating IT.”
At Interop Tokyo this year, H3C will exhibit its latest products and solutions including the newly released SR6600, the world’s first multi-core high-end router, along with its full lines of routers and switches. Additionally, H3C will demonstrate various other technology solutions, such as network security, traffic analysis, RRPP among others. H3C will also once again sponsor the ShowNet project, which features the largest, most advanced, experimental network for a single tradeshow. H3C’s products, including the S7500 and S5600 switches, will serve in ShowNet’s core, aggreration and edge layers providing proven compatibility and high interoperability in a mixed vendor environment. H3C’s multi-service router MSR was honored as “Star Product of ShowNet” during last year’s Interop.
