Present
real-time host and VM states in tables and graphics to help you quickly gain
a holistic view of resource usage across the platform.
Present system
health, host and VM state statistics, usage of resources (CPUs, memory, and
storage), storage cluster capacity, and system alarms.
Present top five
hosts and VMs by their CPU, memory, and storage usage.

hardware performance monitoring
|
Host hardware
monitoring
|
Monitor the
operating state and performance of host hardware. In addition, CAS CVM
monitors storage, physical NICs, GPUs, and storage controllers in real time.

Performance
monitoring
|
Monitor hosts,
VMs, and storage clusters and resource usage in the virtualized environment.
View resource usage and performance statistics for a host. These statistics include the CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O throughputs, IOPS, and usage of the shared file system.
View resource usage and performance statistics for a VM. These statistics include the CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O throughput statistics, network throughputs, IOPS, disk I/O delay, disk usage, and partition usage.

|
VM processes and
services monitoring
|
Monitor active
programs, processes, and services on VMs to provide their resource usage
statistics.
You can obtain
the username, process ID and process name of each process and their CPU
usage, memory usage, and used memory capacity.

Compute topology
|
Display the
relationship between clusters and hosts as well as hosts and VMs. You can
view the alarms for the hosts and VMs and the CPU usage, memory usage, and shared
storage usage of each cluster.

Network topology
|
Display the
connections between vSwitches and VMs as well as port profile and traffic
monitoring information for the ports that connect the vNICs to the vSwitches.

Storage topology
|
Display the
connections between hosts and storage as well as between VMs and storage. You
can view detailed information about storage nodes.

Logs
|
Operation log
|
The operation
log records all operations done in CAS CVM.
You can review
the operation log to audit user behavior and analyze issues. For example, you
can review the operation log to identify the operator of an unscheduled
operation and do an investigation.
|
Manage
operation logs
|
Log collection
|
Collect logs
about CAS CVM and its managed hosts and download the log files. For example,
you can collect logs about a malfunctioning host and send the log files to
technical support for help if the issue persists.
|
Collect
log files
|
Audit log
|
Record the
operations that all operators have performed on CVM. Audit logs include
operation audit logs, physical resource audit logs, and virtual resource
audit logs.

Task console
|
The task console
provides quick access to the most recent tasks.
When you execute
a task, for example, start a VM, the task console automatically opens to show
the task execution progress. If the task fails, the task console displays the
failure cause to help you troubleshoot the issue.

To open the task
console, click its icon at the top
right of the page.
