Upon completing installation and deployment of the UIS Cloud enterprise edition, users are granted a free trial period of 90 days. Within the trial period, users can access the system to request and remove resources. When the trial period expires or the requested resources exceed the upper limit of the trial license, users can only view and withdraw resources, and cannot request new resources.
UIS Cloud enterprise edition provides the following license products:
UIS2CPU—UIS Cloud HCI management software enterprise edition license. Each license can manage two physical CPUs.
UIS-SEC-2CPU—UIS Cloud HCI basic network security component license. Each license can manage two physical CPUs.
LIS-SEC-VA-2CPU—UIS Cloud HCI value-added network security component license. Each license can manage two physical CPUs.
UIS Cloud enterprise edition licenses have the following types:
Trial license—Applies to lab test or presale test scenarios with a 90-day free trial period. The trial license is available without request.
Official license—Applies to production environments and is available only upon request.
By default, UIS Cloud enterprise edition provides a 90-day trial license. Users can use the system without connecting to the license server.
When UIS Cloud enterprise edition is connected to the license server, the trial license immediately becomes invalid. The license no longer takes effect event if the license server connection is terminated, but the created resources can still be used.
The cloud administrator must import UIS Cloud license activation file to the license server before connecting the UIS Cloud enterprise edition to the license server.
UIS Cloud enterprise edition provides quantity-based and feature-based software licenses. A quantity-based license specifies the number of users that can use the license. A feature-based license specifies the features available to requesting users.
Disconnecting from the license server will cause the licensed features to become available. Make sure you are fully aware of the impact of this operation on your network.
