You can integrate multiple UIS Manager sites as native sites into UIS Cloud for unified management of infrastructure and resources. UIS Cloud provides a comprehensive set of features and functionalities for you to operate, manage, and maintain the network, compute, and storage resources of native sites. The following are some of the features and functionalities available only for native site management:
Network management features such as network topology design, vSwitch and vFirewall deployment, and port profiles.
Compute resource management and virtualization features such as physical host management, cluster setup, VM creation and management, and dynamic resource expansion.
Maintenance features such as cloud rainbow, intelligent resource scheduling, monitoring and alarms, and one-click health check.
All these features are available from the Cloud Resources menu. The cloud administrator can choose the native site to manage from the site list on the top navigation bar.
You can then abstract the native and incorporated cloud resources into cloud services available for users.
The Cloud Resources menu is available only for the cloud administrator. Organization administrators and users can only obtain cloud resources and services assigned to them.
UIS Cloud abstracts the native and incorporated cloud resources into cloud services for use by tenants. These cloud services include cloud hosts, disks, snapshots, images, vNICs, key pairs, tenant networks, and security groups.
The cloud services are provided to organizations (tenants) and organization common users on an as-needed basis. To obtain cloud services, organization users must submit a request workflow for approval. Organization administrators can design the cloud service approval workflow as needed for their managed organizations.
