An image is a VM template that contains an OS and basic VM settings, and application software, if any. Images include public and private images. A public image can be created only by a cloud administrator and is available to all users in the private cloud. A private image can be created by an organization administrator, available to all members in the organization, or created by a cloud administrator, available only to the cloud administrator.
Administrators can create images on a virtualization platform and upload the images to this system or create images on this system for users to create VMs by using the images.
