Configure VM/host groups

Application scenarios

You can use VM or host groups to limit the scope of VM-VM affinity rules or VM-host rules.

Configuration workflow

1. Add a VM/host group.

2. Apply a VM/host group—Specify a VM group and a host group when you configure a VM-host affinity rule. For more information, see "Configure affinity rules."

3. Manage VM/host groups.

Add a VM/host group

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Cluster name.

2. Click More, and then select VM/Host Groups.

3. Click Add.

4. Configure the parameters, and then click OK.

Edit a VM/host group

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Cluster name.

2. Click More, and then select VM/Host Groups.

3. Click Edit for a VM/host group.

4. Edit the parameters, and then click OK.

Delete a VM/host group

1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Cluster name.

2. Click More, and then select VM/Host Groups.

3. Click Delete for a VM/host group.

4. Click OK.
