Through the console, you can start, restart, and shut down an image source VM, so that you can manage the VM on the desktop image page.
To manage a VM through the console:
From the navigation pane, select Images > Desktop Images.
Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click the Console button in the Actions column for an image source VM. The image source VM console opens.
On the console, you can perform the following operations:
Refresh: Click Refresh to refresh the VM.
Start: Click Start. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Restart: Click Restart. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Shut Down: Click Shut Down. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Send: Click the Send button. From the dropdown menu that opens, select the key combination to send to the VM.
Attach CD Drive: Mount a CD drive to the image source VM. For how to modify the CD drive, see Edit a VM.
Mount H3CoptTools: Mount optimization tools to the image source VM.
Unmount CD Drive: Remove the CD drive mounted to the image source VM.
From the navigation pane, select Images > Desktop Images.
Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click More in the Actions column for an image source VM. From the dropdown menu, select Snapshot.
The snapshot management dialog box opens.
Click Create.
In the dialog box that opens, configure the snapshot name and description, specify whether to include memory state in the snapshot, and click OK.
Memory Snapshot: Select whether to include memory state in the snapshot. By default, memory state is not included in the snapshot.
Timeout: Set the timeout for taking the snapshot. If snapshot creation is not finished before the timeout expires, the system does not restore the VM until snapshot creation is finished.
From the navigation pane, select Images > Desktop Images.
Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click More in the Actions column for an image source VM. From the dropdown menu, select Snapshot.
The snapshot management dialog box opens.
Select the snapshot to restore, and then click Restore.
Click OK.
From the navigation pane, select Images > Desktop Images.
Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click More in the Actions column for an image source VM. From the dropdown menu, select Snapshot.
The snapshot management dialog box opens.
Click Delete in the Actions column for the snapshot to be deleted.
Click OK in the confirmation dialog box that opens.
From the navigation pane, select Images > Desktop Images.
Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click More in the Actions column for an image source VM. From the dropdown menu, select Edit.
The page for editing the image source VM opens.
Edit the image source VM as needed.

Click the Image Source VMs tab. Click More in the Actions column for an image source VM. From the dropdown menu, select Delete.
