Custom dashboard management enables you to customize a dashboard by dragging the monitoring items to the panel.
On a line chart, if a legend name is incomplete, view its full name on the tip.
From the left navigation pane, select Monitoring > Custom Dashboards.
Click Add Dashboard.
Enter a name for the dashboard, select an icon, background, width, and height, select to replace or not replace dashboard, and then click OK.
Click the dashboard to enter the panel page.
Click Enter Design Mode to design the dashboard.
Drag the target monitoring items on the right of the page to the panel area.
Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
The following monitoring items require further configuration: Custom VM Monitoring, Custom Host Monitoring, Custom Shared File System Monitoring, Custom Top5 Hosts Monitoring, and Custom Top5 VMs Monitoring.
The following monitoring items do not require further configuration: System Health, Host Health, CPU Overcommit, Memory Overcommit, Shared Storage Overcommit, System Alarms, Host States, and VM States.
Click Save to save the dashboard settings.
From the left navigation pane, select Monitoring > Custom Dashboards.
Modify the parameters as needed, and then click OK.
Click the dashboard to enter the panel page.
Click Enter Design Mode to design the dashboard.
To modify the parameters, click the on the top right of the corresponding widgets. See "Parameters."
Click Save to save the dashboard modifications.
Click OK.
Click Exit Design Mode to exit design mode.
From the left navigation pane, select Monitoring > Custom Dashboards.
Enter the name of the clone dashboard, and then click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Monitoring > Custom Dashboards.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Monitoring > Custom Dashboards.
Click the target dashboard.
To view the information in full screen mode, click Full Screen.
To exit full screen mode, click the back button in the browser.
Add/edit custom dashboard
Name: Enter the name of the dashboard.
Icon: Upload an icon for the dashboard.
Background: Upload a background picture for the dashboard.
Width: Set the width of the dashboard, in pixels.
Height: Set the height of the dashboard, in pixels.
Replace Fullscreen: Select whether to replace the default dashboard. If you select Yes, the default dashboard will be replaced by the custom dashboard.
System Health: Average health value of all hosts in the system.
The CPU, memory, or storage health value is calculated as follows:
When the CPU, memory, or storage usage is greater than 80%, in the range of 60% to 80%, and smaller than 60%, the CPU, memory, or storage health value is in the range of 0 to 50, 51 to 80, and 81 to 100, respectively.
The network health value is calculated as follows:
When the network throughput is greater than 1024 Mbps, in the range of 500 to 1024 Mbps, and smaller than 500 Mbps, the network health value is in the range of 0 to 50, 51 to 80, and 81 to 100, respectively.
The host health value is calculated as follows:
Host health=CPU health × 0.3 + memory health × 0.4 + storage health × 0.15 + network health × 0.15
Host Health: Health value of each host in CVM.
CPU Overcommit
Host CPUs: Number of CPUs on all hosts.
VM CPUs: Number of CPUs on all VMs.
Overcommit: Host CPU usage, which is the ratio between the VM CPUs and the host CPUs.
Memory Overcommit
Host Memory: Total memory size of all hosts.
VM Memory: Total memory size of all VMs.
Overcommit: Host memory usage, which is the ratio between the VM memory and the host memory.
Shared Storage Overcommit
Total: Total shared storage size.
Available: Available shared storage size.
Overcommit: Shared storage usage, which is the ratio between the used storage and the total storage.
System Alarms: Number of alarms for each alarm level, including critical, major, minor, and tip.
Host States: Total host number and number of hosts in different states (including normal, abnormal, and maintain).
VM States: Total VM number and number of VMs in different states (including normal, shutdown, and abnormal).
Custom Host Monitoring: Custom host monitoring information. The vertical axis represents CPU usage, memory usage, I/O throughput (Kbps), network throughput (Mbps), disk request (IOPS), or disk I/O delay (ms). The horizontal axis represents time and the unit is 30 seconds.
Custom VM Monitoring: Custom VM monitoring information. The vertical axis represents CPU usage, memory usage, I/O throughput (Kbps), network throughput (Mbps), CPU frequency (MHz), disk request (IOPS), or disk I/O delay (ms). The horizontal axis represents time and the unit is 30 seconds.
Custom Shared File System Monitoring: Custom shared file system monitoring information. The vertical axis represents I/O throughput (Kbps) or disk request (IOPS). The horizontal axis represents time and the unit is 30 seconds.
Custom Top5 Hosts Monitoring: Custom top 5 hosts monitoring information. The vertical axis represents CPU usage or memory usage. The horizontal axis represents time and the unit is 30 seconds.
